Job description
Own the public API and health data platform at an AI-native medical practice that pairs in-house physicians with custom AI tools. You will join a small platform and integrations team and own an end-to-end backend system within your first month.
What you'll do
- Design and evolve the external, public API and embedded product layer
- Own the health data platform that ingests, reconciles, and exposes wearable, medication, lab, and EHR data
- Work directly with enterprise partners' engineering teams on embedded integrations
- Build core data models and pluggable ingestion frameworks
Compensation
$190,000 to $220,000 base, plus competitive equity.
Location
Hybrid in New York, NY (Flatiron), Tuesday to Thursday in office. No visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- 6+ years in production backend engineering, ideally at high-growth startups
- Has built and maintained external-facing, public APIs used by customers or partners
- Deep backend: PostgreSQL, queues, distributed systems
- 0-to-1 experience at a startup or on a new team
- Strong written communication
- Stack: TypeScript, Node.js, Bun, PostgreSQL, Redis, SQS, Temporal, AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes
- U.S. work authorization (no sponsorship)
